Felix – The Manchester Kitten

Felix gets to feel his first snow. Just one year old, today he woke up to another new experience.

Felix is nearly an adult or at least half way there. He looks like an adult cat, just a bit smaller. I know that he thinks that he’s an adult cat when he’s telling me to get up or that he wants to play or go out

I’m not sure if it is chattering or teeth clacking, whenever he sees the sparrows outside his mouth starts moving very fast.

It is so long since my last post and Felix is so much bigger than he was back in January.

Felix is still a tiny kitten despite reaching his 10th week birthday. I was hoping that he’d make a landmark 1kg today but he’s still got another week to go

It’s two weeks since Felix arrived in his new home and I he’s started getting used to the different rooms, playing with toys but still biting and scratching.

I wonder if 9 weeks old is the equivalent of a kitten teenager? Felix is staying up until all hours, biting, scratching and punching and that’s before I even say hello.

I’ve learned a lot in a week about caring for a new kitten. In the first few days, I was worried about his poos and wether he was eating enough. As the week has gone on, I feel a lot more assured that he is a normal healthy kitten.

Wednesday, 6th January 2021 marks Felix’ 8th week birthday.

Felix’ first full day (4th January 2021), was mainly spent sleeping. He is still happy to sleep in his makeshift bed (It’s a well worn black hoodie) on the sofa.
