Felix gets a new home
Felix is a tiny black and white cat. He was born in November 2020 and his mother cat is a beige coloured Bengal. He hasn’t got any Bengal markings, but I think he has big fierce paws for a tiny cat.
I haven’t had a cat for a very long time and I was only 7 since we last had a kitten, so this is going to be a learning experience for both of us.
Once he got to his new home, he was very reluctant to step out of his carrier, but once he did he had a short look around the room.

I picked him up and showed him his new kitty litter tray. I worried because he is used to wood chips at his old home and I wasn’t able to get them. I put the common and garden Thomas’ clay litter. I put him in it and showed him with my hand how the litter moves. I’m not sure if he was paying much attention.
I took him to the kitchen and showed him his bowls, he had a couple of mouthfuls of kitten food and a drink of water. At his old home he was having kitten milk. When I was little people used to give their cats cows milk and evaporated milk, apparantly it’s the worse thing you can give a cat. So no cows milk for Felix.
He had a play on the sofa, so I don’t think he was too upset by his new surroundings. Here’s a little video I put on Youtube.
I left him to explore for a bit and then he started crying. I picked him up and stoked him and he he seemed very happy, closing his eyes and purring. I put him down on his makeshift bed on the sofa and he slept for about an hour. He got up, had a wonder around and made his way back to his makeshift bed.
So, the journey begins, so much to find out about my new friend Felix.
