Felix’ first week

I’ve learned a lot in a week about caring for a new kitten. In the first few days, I was worried about his poos and whether he was eating enough. As the week has gone on, I feel a lot more assured that he is a normal healthy kitten.

This week he’s still exploring the sitting room, jumping and scuttling around the carpet, biting and clawing at my fingers (and the cusions and throwovers). I’ve tried introducing him to cat toys but he’s either disinterested or frightened of them. Maybe it is too soon for toys.

During the week, he’s nearly doubled the amount that he was eating when he first came. He’s using his litter tray without problem and there’s been no accidental whoopsies. He’s such a good kitten and so handsome. 😉
